Finally catching up!

June 19, 2008. Well it has been quite a month for us! Nicco has adjusted so well and is sleeping through the night finally! (thank you Dr. Ferber) He now loves to be in his crib and talk with his curious George stuffed animal. He is still just cruising, trying hard to walk but still afraid to let go. He loves to hang with the boys every night and has started his swim classes with dad (or as Nicco calls him, DA) He now say's mama, DA and Bra (brother) and I believe he talks spanish to Barney, lol, his favorite! He gets cuter everyday. We cannot believe it is almost his 1st birthday!

We would like to thank everyone who has written and followed along for their support. We would also like to thank our wonderful agency, Little Miracles, and everyone associated with them in Guatemala. Big hugs to our coordinator Lisa, you have went above and beyond your job and we consider you a dear friend, thank you:) To the best foster mom I could have asked for, mucho gracias, How can we ever thank you? It is because of you he has such a wonderful loving disposition. You are right, he is our angel. You are in our hearts forever!

June 10, 2008. Nicco has been doing fabulous and I have been busy taking lots of new pictures! We went on our first vacation to Myrtle Beach with Grandma. We loved the pool and had tons of fun on the beach. He is trying so hard to walk and is really cruising along now. I think he is getting cuter everyday!

NICCO IS HOME!!!!

May 23, 2008. Well, it has been sometime since I have posted on our blog. I had major computer problems again and during that time Nicco has come home. It was a fantastic trip and we even got to see some of our friends from the last visit as well. I flew in May 1, 2008 and waited for my "pink" from the embassy to arrive. I received pink for Friday May 9th but received a great tip from my friend Cheri (thank you) to try standby at the embassy. I called on Tuesday (11 tries before reaching someone) and was told yes, I could come in on Wednesday as a stand by. I was so excited! But even better was the fortune cookie I saved before I left that said my lucky number was seven! Embassy day May 7th, 2008 and it was my lucky day. Nicco came home pretty sick with an ear infection and has had me running non stop. He is doing much better now and is back to his happy go lucky self. Never a baby with a better temperment than him. PGN OUT!!!!!!!!!!!

April 3, 2008. We got the news last Wednesday March 26, 2008 we are out of PGN. My birthday was Friday and what a gift to receive! Happy Birthday to me and to Nicco on his 8 months already!! What a handsome guy he is becoming!!! I have been so behind on blogging and on everything as we have had several challenges the past few months. God gives you what you can handle I suppose. Here's hoping we see you soon big boy!

What a day!!

March 5, 2008. Last night I had a trip to the hospital after suffering chest pains. I spent the last 24 hours being poked and proded, but luckily everything appeared to be fine. Poor Chris had to frantically come home from Chicago in the middle of the night to make sure everything was alright and to play nurse for me. Thank God I have him there when I need him. We received new pictures of Nicco and his full head of hair, but I have not been able to download them yet. I will post when I get a chance.

PGN Quiet

February 24, 2008. Hope everyone had a great Valentine's day filled with Love. I wanted to say "thankyou" to my husband for making it all about me and the special thoughts that mean so much to me. So far all has been quiet on the PGN front. No kick outs (that we know of) and hopefully everything is moving along smoothly. We have been working on Nicco's scrapbook all week and his photo's are everywhere! These are some of our favorites. I have been staying busy and going to the gym with Chris, I have lost 16 lbs. so far. Chris loves to work out and has been taking me with him everyday religously, my motivator! I can hardly wait to get to my pre-baby weight again, LOL! This weekend we will have our 7th birthday party for Nic. 7 months already, I can't believe it! For us everything has worked out perfectly timewise and has given us the ability to assess what it is important in life.
